Osteria Papavero is a casual, rustic Italian restaurant in the heart of Madison’s downtown. Our chef Francesco Mangano is from Bologna, Italy and cooks traditional Italian fare with an elevated twist. We have a number of daily specials, featuring local vegetables and proteins from nearby farmers.
We are currently offering indoor dining, takeout & delivery (through DoorDash, find the link in the “Menu” section).

Reservations are not required but strongly encouraged. We are a little osteria with a very small kitchen, we believe in giving all our customers the attention they truly deserve. Please respect our policy of not accepting reservations for parties larger than six.
